APPLE HILL CHAMBER PLAYERS IN TBILISI
On October 25, 2002, AHCP together with guest violinist Movses Pogossian performed at the Tbilisi Conservatory Grand Hall. This was AHCP's second visit to Georgia. On October 24, AHCP conducted master classes at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire for the purpose of awarding one young Georgian musician a "Playing for Peace Scholarship" to the Apple Hill Summer Festival.

PHOTO EXHIBIT "AFTER SEPTEMBER 11: IMAGES FROM GROUND ZERO" IN BATUMI
On October 2, the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and the Ajara State Art Museum in Batumi opened the exhibit, "After September 11: Images from Ground Zero." At the opening, Public Affairs Officer Sharon Hudson-Dean represented the U.S. Embassy and Parliamentarian Mr. Nodar Phagava represented the Ajara Autonomous Republic. The exhibit continued for 10 days and was open to the public.

AMERICAN JAZZ AMBASSADORS IN TBILISI
On October 6, 2002, Jazz Ambassadors Eddie Allen and Mark Peterson performed together with two Georgian musicians (a drummer and a pianist) at the Tbilisi State Conservatory as the final concert in the "Jazz in Tbilisi 2002" festival. U.S. Ambassador to Georgia, Mr. Richard Miles, officially opened the concert. The "Jazz in Tbilisi 2002" festival featured musicians from Great Britain, France, Russia and Georgia.
