GEORGIA HOSTS ASIAN SEMI-FINAL JUDGING FOR THE INTERNATIONAL EMMY
AWARDS
On July 9, Ambassador Miles and Mrs. Miles hosted
a reception in honor of Mr. Bruce Paisner, President and CEO of
the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and Mr.
Georges Leclere, Executive Director of the International Academy.
Mr. Paisner and Mr. Leclere visited Georgia for the first time on
July 7-10, 2004, to conduct the Asian Semi-Final Judging for the
International Emmy Awards. Many international Emmy jurors traveled
to Tbilisi for this occasion and to select the best shows of Asia
and Africa.
