U.S. Embassy Political Officer Christopher W. Smith opened the presentation with remarks recognizing Georgia's progress in the battle against trafficking and detailing the road ahead. The Action Plan coordinates the efforts of relevant actors in the fight against TIP including government agencies, civil society groups, and international organizations. The plan focuses Anti-TIP efforts in the three “Ps”: prevention through increased public awareness, protection and assistance for TIP victims, and prosecution and punishment of Traffickers.
